Accelerated processing service for Partner Migration and Prospective Marriage visa applicants
Outcome and processing time for an application depend on the applicant's ability to meet the criteria set out in Australia's Migration Act and Regulations. Our average processing time for partner migration is one to six months. However, a one-day processing service is possible for clients who meet criteria for the same day service* and come to our Embassy in person with a complete application, and meet all legal criteria at time of application. While in many instances it is possible to grant a visa on the same day, this is not guaranteed. You should not assume that processing will be finalised on the same day.
* Applicants for our same day service are counselled by telephone to check their eligibility. Only eligible applicants will be invited for same day processing. Applicants who are not eligible to use the same day service may still lodge their application by mail or in person for processing within the average processing time of one to six months.
Please note that only applicants who are resident in one of the countries listed below are eligible to be considered for our accelerated processing service:
Andorra, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, The Netherlands, Norway, San Marino, Sweden, Switzerland, Vatican City

Please contact our Call Centre to arrange your appointment. You should call +49(0)30 700 129 129 between 13.00hrs and 17.00hrs, Monday to Thursday, and between 13.00 hrs and 16:00 hrs on Friday.
When you come to our Embassy for your appointment, please bring a complete application with all supporting documentation as indicated on our website, including your original passport containing at least one blank page.
During the appointment at our office, your Case Officer will go through your application and conduct a short interview. If you meet all legal requirements and your application and supporting documentation is complete, your visa will be granted on the same day. Clients who do not meet all legal criteria or who present an incomplete application will be given further information to enable them to complete the process.
